Day 5

Our breakfast

Though not buffet, i find e serving too big as well. Perhaps im not used to eating a lot once im awake! Which is the nicest dish ar.. i think it's the congee haaha

Mt Fuji

I armed myself with like 5 layers of clothes in the bus... all ready for the Mt Fuji challenge! hahaa but the rainy weather spoilt everything, we couldnt get up to the 5th station. Hai, so in the end i had to strip in the bus again haaha. Bought the muffers for nothing! wasted.

Sanrio Puroland

It is located at the outskirts of Tokyo so we took some time to reach there. Quite excited to see Hello Kitty. Actually no... im more excited to see My Melody!

Kitty's Grandpa

I dont know who he is but he looks cute!

I also dont know who it is. I think i saw it on some of the pencil cases or books when i was young. LOL

Errr which relative of kitty?

This one i know. This is kitty's house!

Kitty's pok pok car

The following are the furniture in kitty's house. The house is so pinkish and well-decorated! Very girly and it gives u a warm feeling! How i wish my bedroom can have the same effect!

Here comes the main lead ...
They have this foodcourt in Sanrio Puroland... Look at the display!
I bought this set meal and i got a free box! Din take pic of it n i also dont know how to describe it. Its shape is smthg like u can treat it as a lunchbox with strap or ehhh a small wastepaper basket?
Tempted to have a cute drawing of myself.. so i allowed the artist to sketch me within 10min... not as cute as those children though! Look like me not?
Headed to the Daiso outside Sanrio ... bought a lot of stuff hahahahaaa but the Daiso there sells quite similar stuff to those we have in spore la.. but definitely more variety. Anyway cheaper mah.. SGD $1.30 per item.
Ueno Flea Market
I do not know what this market sells cos i din go hahaa. we went to this big shopping centre near the mkt to look for Burberry Blue Label. FINALLY bought my bag... hahahhaha im so happy lor! i almost totally lose hope before that. HENG AR.
Akihabara electric town
We aint interested in this electric town cos nothing to buy mah. Went to source out some products for my frenz but cant find anything. Saw this g-mask alike shop there.. their designs are much much much nicer than ours lor but equally or more ex la. I went to play the Niu Dan Ji there n got myself some cute stuff [but mostly are the series tt i ve been collecting de la]. Actually im dumb.. it's more ex there. :<
Went to the Mac there. Wl got herself a cup of tea.. she said the tea is cheaper there i think. I got myself a McFlurry.. not cookies n cream flavour.. it's strawberry shortcake flavour! very special.. quite nice too.
Wl also bought a box of takopachi.. eh taste quite similar to spore de bah i cant rem le! ahaaha
Shinjuku
Oh today is the most happening day of the trip lor! We skipped dinner in order to have more shopping time ... and we really really enjoyed ourselves this evening. We could take our time to really shop for stuff. Bought another burberry blue label bag. And what else? Some sanrio stuff [oh i din buy anything fr the Sanrio Puroland... cos the layout of the shop is not v conducive n hence i not v motivated to see the stuff n din get anything]... some gifts n an umbrella la. not v cheap but okie la hahaha normal i would say. Oh then we went to this underground shopping street and i got ros' and mine adidas bag. Eh then we also bought some other small stuff la i cant rem le. Ya... went back to meet the others after they finished their dinner!
Sunshine City Prince Hotel
Headed towards the hotel. The road was dark and there's no lamp post... salute the driver again! We quickly check in then went out on our own again.
We just anyhow source for a jap restaurant and ate our dinner. The food there was quite nice...
I realised my fav jap food is ebi tempura hahahahaa! yummy! Walked ard but there's nothing much for me to buy le. hahahaa

Ok.. photos of our room.
The stuff i bought today..
Isnt this cute? xmas version!
Oh the umbrella i mentioned. around SGD $10 to $11 only!

Day 4 - 021207

Well, bfast is the same as usual, getting worse in fact haha. We had a very very early lunch.. ard like 2 hrs after our bfast? Finally not buffet Phew.

Realised that their seto comes with BOTH udon n rice. how to finish?!

Their kids meal looks delicious though. :p

Lake Ashi

We are supposed to take a cruise ride in what they called the Pirate Ship. Took some pictures while we were waiting for the ride. Wow the wind outside is super strong.. i din dare to go out actually. Went out to the pier n then ran back to the shelter coz it is toooooooo windy. Hahaha then we chionged out again, just to take some pic n catch a glimpse of Mt Fuji.

Put ur eyes close to the monitor, can u see the sacred mountain?

Weeleng at the pier

The pirate ship

Me on the ship... windy right?!

After the ride! Anyway the ride was like 10 min onli lor.

Me and the cutie Sarah.

Before boarding the bus, we went to buy a can of milk tea fr the vending machine.. hot hot de! The brand is Royal something de.. pls try it coz it tastes nice!

Boiling Valley

Met with a jam, it was a torture to stay in the bus! I was better prepared this time for the weather up there! Wore 1 more layer i think.. and i got my gloves on! Heng ar... freezing there.

We have to walked quite a distance up to the boiling valley.

Finally halfway. hahahaa. The wind is so strong! I almost fell down while trying to take pic for wl. hahahaa. ok im weak.

It smells of sulphur. Puke.

Oh definitely we have to try the eggs right! The blackie eggs hahaa. I think they are sold at quite a high price, in packs of six which i dont understand why. Anyway these 2 are free, given to us by some family [of 4] hahahaa

Evergreen Hotel, Fuji

We are supposed to go Mt Fuji but it's too late so no pt going up. Hence we went back to our hotel.

We are supposed to put our stuff in the rm then have our dinner at the restaurant downstairs. Heng, not buffet again. Look at the spread!

This hotel has a hot spring which we are supposed to go in naked! Hahaa im too paiseh to do that but u know.. i really would like to try. After bathing, we went to the hot spring area to use their hairdryer [weird right, there isnt any dryer in the rm] and u know what?! there's no one there when i popped my head into the hot spring rm hahaha SO.... i went in to soak my legs! wonderfuulllll really very shuang lor. im in luck!

The cute fuji biscuit wl bought.

The only stuff i bought for the day. FOod again!

Day 3 – 011207

We had breakfast in the hotel. Cant rem hw come we did not take any pic of our bfast. Anyway I think the buffet spread was quite standard – the usual scramble egg, hot dog, bacon etc etc. The more special ones are their siew mai [which is totally off-white in colour] and the minced meat which is supposed to go with their congee. I usually would love their scramble egg but this time round, I think their congee is the best. It is sticky yet a little soft.. got addictive effect. And it really goes well with the minced meat which I find it rather low class initially hahaha.

Nara Deer Park

I weren’t really excited about the itinerary for the day as it involves much traveling. Our first stop is the famous Todaji Temple which is situated within the serenity of Nara Deer Park. Well the park was featured to contain thousands of deer but I barely see 2 hundred? Ok la perhaps cause we did not really “enter” the park? The deer weren’t up to my expectations… Anyway I tried to take pic with the deers. While I was squatting down and posing… another deer walked towards me from the back and it came real near to me. And ya, as usual I screamed! Paiseh lor :<

Todaji Temple

Really big. We were taught to clap twice before we enter the temple, eh this is to inform the Buddha of our arrival? I don’t know if this is true or not la haha. And we were taught not to turn our bodies once we finished praying… instead we shd bow and move back 5 little steps before turning our bodies! And I forgot to do so.

I enjoyed looking at the stuff they sell there. Bought this little fan with Geisha printings on it, intending to give it to my grandma but don’t know if she will want it or not. Bought this little charm for myself, hope it works! Oh I played this fortune thingy, give the uncle 100 yen and I will get a chance to sort of like draw lots while making a wish. Hey my lot is quite good… cannot tell you what I wished for but lets hope it comes true asap!

Had buffet for lunch.. the food is not bad de la. But nothing fantastic.

Then we had another long journey. I slept most of the time I guess. You know, I used to be able to sleep as well as I had my earphones in my ears, but it aint this way now. All thanks to our tour guide… he’s Mr History hahaha so whenever he starts his history, somehow Im able to fall aslp hahahaha. I don’t understand lor.. he can always link japan to china history de leh haiyo.

Oh, in the middle of nowhere.. a geisha boarded our bus! And accompanied us to Kiyomizu temple. [I think this is considered Kyoto le] hahaha she walked with us up to some high places and stood there to allow us to take pic w her! Hahahaa so tt’s one of the highlights of the package? I must say she is photogenic la cos we all look ugly beside her haha. And guess what? She has an assistant with her de lor!

As for this temple… It is built on top of 139 pillars [see I got listen to the tour guide de k!] and there’s tons of ppl everyday there, trying to get the holy water [smthg like tt de]. The scenary there is fantastic, esp the maple trees. We were allowed to wander ard and walk down the slope of shops … had a busy time searching for the biscuit I want but in vain. Bought some of their local products instead! Wanted to buy this jap umbrella for grandma but it seems too small lor. I wonder if there’s still ppl using that!

Nagoya

Alright THEN again another long journey :< I dislike sitting in that cramped bus. We went to Nagoya underground shopping area. The place is like our Citylink… even longer but wahlau eh.. the tour guide onli gave us barely 20 min I think. We couldn’t shop far.

Then headed to Nagoya Castle, which was already closed for the day. We only alighted to go toilet lor hahahaa. And our next stop is the beautiful Italian Village.. the Christmas season is in the air over there, u could see santa figurines all over the place. I bought an adidas “respect me” series shorts there for like onli S$27. Worth it right?! It better not be pirated goods! Hahaha and I bought some cookies, no choice, have to trial n error to see if that cookies is what im looking for! Haha

Oh did I mention that the bread in Japan are all very fantastic? My tour leader explained that it is all bcoz of the milk they use! No wonder anything with custard tastes heavenly there!

Ok so finally we headed for dinner… it’s something like Seoul Garden, except that it is not soo meat-ish. I like the grilled squid, very nice. But I did not enjoy the dinner to the fullest, cos we were arranged to sit with this honeymoon couple. So weird. And they don’t talk. So I also don’t dare to fool ard. Wasted. If not I think we would have enjoyed more.

Sunroute Plaza Nagoya

Headed to the above mentioned hotel. It looks more like a hostel in a deserted place. The roads were dark and I really salute the driver. I wont say the hotel is low class la.. still got some special features. What I like most abt tt hotel is the small little balcony. When I walked out of the room to the balcony.. I could see the moon right in front of me, stars all above in the sky and the dark sea or lake whatever u call it in front, with a few little ships. The feeling is very good and relaxing, except that the wind is making me shiver!

Look at the toilet.. doesn’t it resemble those in the cabin? Hahaa
