Happy New Year!!!

FOR 2009..

1. I hope to have EXCELLENT health. Despite the stress im facing, i hope that hyperventilation will not come back to me. Also, i wish that my joints will not cause me anymore pain. After all these suffering, i've really come to know that, ultimately, health is the most important factor of all!

2. I hope that i can greatly reduce the intake of steroids. Hopefully, to zero. It's pathetic to pop in lotsa pills everyday, isnt it?

3. I wish everything will be smooth-sailing at work. Be calm and steady, with no last minute work or arrows. Have nice helpful and most importantly, responsible colleagues. Work well with everyone.

4. I hope to see them strive hard for their future. Work hard through the year.

5. For myself, i hope to become a better person. I want to be much more patient towards everyone. I want to be less easily irritated. I want to be kind and helpful towards others. And i want to always see things from the brighter side.

6. I think it is time to get attached , if not i can never get off the shelf! But this is not within my control. Fate.

7. I hope to be on better terms with my family. Especially my mother. Hopefully she can be more considerate, understanding, caring and motherly. Of course i know i got to put in effort on my side as well. So i plan to sound nicer when i talk to her and show less black faces. And ya, i think i should think for her as well.

8. I hope to be able to visit my uncle and grandmother more often. I'm so guilty that the visits are on the decreasing trend. But fret not, i will really try.

9. I hope to spend less time on MSN. I guess more time should be spent on myself at home.. As for DVD, ya it is still ok to watch it everynight. hahaha

10. I hope to be in contact with all my friends, or even more friends. They are so important to me.. and i hope they love my company!

Initially i just want 10 points.. BUT i realised i forgot something important!!

* I want to save money. I know i cant save a lot.. but i want to try. Try saving $100 more every month. Yes, this is my aim. :D

I hate my immune system

I went for acupuncture just now.. i was qte happy cause i saw my idol there. OK, in that clinic, there's my doc and his disciples... and one of these disciples is very skilful so i named him my idol. hahaha.

It has been a few months since i saw him. So just now, he treated me. And during the treatment, my doc asked him what are the changes he saw in me.. and i overheard them discussing. WHICH made me upset.

They mentioned that i used to look so radiant, but now im like dull and haggard looking. And that the shape of my face has greatly changed. And im like towards the bloated side. Well, im not the least offended... cause i know they really meant well and want to help me.

So during our conversation, they suggested me to stop my steroid intake, saying that it really has far too many side effects. Bloated is just a small issue, taking steroids will harm my kidney and dont know which other organ la.

YA... so, ya, im confused. I trust them and yet i know that once i stop, the pain will come back. Im currently taking 4 steroids a day... my western doc says i can reduce to 3 if i can take it. Chinese physician asks me to stop totally.

Perhhhaaapps... i'll just go for something in-between. I will try to skip whenever i can tahan. And i shall limit myself to 3 a day for the time being.. then slowly reduce to 0. I dont know if i can or not.. but im just really feeling down right now.

My hyperventilation seems to be coming back. And i fear.

I dont understand why m i so weak... and i hate it when ppl say things like how come such a fat girl can have so many illnesses.. totally rubbish.

Anyway, i'm angry at myself too. :(

Eugene bought me this Phiten strap. It is meant to be worn to reduce the pain, so sweet of him! Useful or not? I dont know, anyway no harm wearing it!



He went Australia for honeymoon and got me this set of stationery and the stylish pen! Smart of him to buy everything in red! :p

I'm Back!!

I didnt know 9 days passed that fast!!! Photos taken there? Not posting now, cause.... most photos were taken using xt's camera, which is the CASIO EXILIM, which is better than mine, which has so many modes to choose from, which has the makeup effect, which is so so so goood.

So ya, no photos for the time being, till the day she pass me the memory card. We took like 600 photos???

Aiya, forget about it. i dont know what to write now, without the photos. hahaha

Went for my dad's bday celebration today, had Vienna at United Sq. All of us were sooo full, my stomach dont even have the space to swallow a piece of cheesecake. hahaha.

As my parents were walking around, choosing the food, i felt that they have really grown old. They used to take care of us, now i feel that at times they feel helpless. Take today as an example, they cant read too chim english, so they gotta guess whether it is chicken or pork or beef etc. So ya, i followed them around and help them with the selection :)

My bro and da sao are bringing my parents to Taiwan next march, and im excluded cause i cant take any leave. Good or bad? i dont know. I prefer to go along actually.. if not, i gotta stay alone at home, and gotta take care of the 2 doggies. Plus work. Stressed. Come to think of it, i havent gone on any trips with my parents for years. And i think i have not gone on any trips with my bro for like a decade? Ya, the last time i remembered was when i was only 13. :(

Ooooh, we found your below $20 stuff. Stripe de, mei mei wor! And we bought something as our group identity for you and xiao ming! You all better act as if you love it! And thanks Ros, i know you have been smsing diligently, cause xt did not sweat here. So far, her black face did not surface yet la, but she's tanned now.

I think you smsed Ros' friend too right? hahaha, cause sometimes it is far too cold over here! Ya, please read my msg to Ros too, cause you have that group identity as well. :p

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Hey people, I'm flying to Australia tonight. The long awaited trip... phew. Finally here. But im not as excited as the first time!

I was packing last night.. and i got upset. BECAUSE i dont have any nice clothes to wear. Everything is black black black and black. You know, i could easily bring 8 sets of all black clothes there lor! Angry. Why did i buy so many black tops?! And y every top seem so tight?! hahaaha

AND everything i wear seems so lok cok! I wanted to bring my mini skirt there... but xiang le xiang hor.. like a bit bu fang bian leh. So ok... OUT.

I gave up packing after 2hours. And till now, im still in sch. Why am i not home? Cause i'm afraid to go home. Why so? Cause once gina gets home, she will sleep. And if you know her well, you can easily anticipate what's going to happen. So ya... Home is a no-no, at least for the next 2hours!

Back to yday... it was the release of results. I love to see the smiles on their face, the confidence that they have suddenly regained. It feels good. And i'm extremely happy, for those who had really worked hard. You deserve it. Good Job! A "thank you" from them can easily and instantly get my tap to start operating.. why am i such a crybaby?! :/

Went for steamboat buffet dinner with Marie, Eug, Pam, Barry and LTC. It was quite a great gathering since i havent seen pam for like ... ages? Guys are so boring... their topic revolves around technology. Ahhhh... hahaha. Ya i stuffed my stomach with lotsa golden mushroom as usual.. i was so full. But since there's chocolate fondue for dessert, why not? hahaha. so even fuller. Then i realised that i gotta take my med. Ya, so another glass of water as input. So i felt freaking full when i got home, full to the extent that my heart hurts! hahahaa

No wonder Hairol said i seem to have put on weight. But nvm, he said i was cute too. so neutralised hahahahaaa. As usual, i made him rewind everything... walked over n just say "hey u look cuter" hahaha. Self-deceiving.

Day @ Salon

AnYoHaSeYo! I had my hair dyed and trimmed at Kelly Hair Concept this evening! My stylist, Vaness, reminded me of my previous stylist William. I wonder how is life over there.... hahhaa well, i do keep in contact w him via Facebook. But still wonder la.

Had my hair dyed to super super duper duper dark purple which is qte equivalent to black. Will be in reddish purple or reddish brown under the sunlight though. It has been a long long time since i see myself with dark coloured hair. Looks healthy though hahahahaa.

Vaness is quite good with hair trimming too, he had my fringe nicely trimmed [not too short] and the sides are trimmed with folded-in effects. Pardon me for my layman terms haha. Generally im satisfied with my trip to the salon, except my butt hurts and i'm worried that the colour may fade toooooooo soon to that irritating dry brown.

Ever heard of a salon package?

I signed up for one today! It is quite worth it la. Paid $500... or rather deposit $500 with the salon. And get to enjoy a 15% discount on all services and 10% discount on all products. So i saved $30 today. The objective is to grab the customers so that they will always patronise their salon bah i guess.

Since this salon is pretty accessible and near, plus the service not bad, plus the prices not too ex.... i took up the package. Hopefully i wont regret la! And i asked a funny question before agreeing... i asked my stylist "eh you wont be quitting soon right?" Haha then he laughed and replied "Of Course not la! i enjoy working here!" then i said "ok lor.. then i take up the package." hahahahaa guess i got the phobia of losing a stylist le!

And... i miss Marie. I read that there is a moderate 4.5 earthquake over at Tokyo. I hope Marie missed that. And i want to intro her to Vaness. Hahaha and im blogging this so that i wont forget what i wanna tell her!!!

Okok 1 last thing... i've cultivated a habit. IE, to continue sleeping even if my alarm rings. I dont know this is the how many millionth time le.. that i overslept during holidays. Take today for eg... i aimed to wake up at 11am but i slept till 230pm... till that eugene chan called. Arghhh but luckily it woke me up.

10 things that happened on 12th Dec 2008


2. Xiaoting was held back at work and hence i sat in the car for slightly more than 2 hours. I thought i was smart... i din on the engine. Only on the radio and fan. No aircon too. But yuan lai im not smart. My car battery decided to betray me. I couldnt start the engine. :(

3. We hailed a cab along the main road. Uncle was so nice. He drove into the carpark but unable to help because we do not have that dont know what cable to charge the battery. He was so nice to call his friend but too bad, his friend is not in the vicinity. So ya, uncle left.

4. We saw this lady who was about to drive out of the carpark. She has no cable as well and she was very helpful to call her son to get me his mechanic friend's number. So i called and got the driver down. But he needs half an hour.

5. Then we found this guy who has the cable, but it is not long enough. So we gotta set the car to free gear and push it. I'm ok la cause im in the car. Poor Xiaoting and that guy... hahaha but ting said she felt so competent, and that she doesnt understand how come those ppl in the TV always act as if it is sooooo xin ku to push a car! hahaahaaa. I took these photos secretly....

6. I thought i was smart again. I called that mechanic and told him that my car is alright le, no need come. But in e end... i dont know why, but somehow the current did not get into my car batt and the engine insisted to go on strike.

7. So Mr Nice Guy gave up too. He suggested me to go down to the nearby Shell station to get help. So we walked over, got a namecard, called the man. Gotta wait for 15minutes. While waiting... we were not depressed k, n we did not waste any time. We took photos!

8. The man came... charged.. . . . . .3seconds. DONE! Kaoz. $20 gone. Such a long day for me at FLC. Haix.

9.Went to Super Travels for the briefing. And ya, as expected, they never fail to stun me. Irritating i tell you. They swop all our itinerary... and our free day falls on 25th Dec. So angry k! I dont think there will be many shops open on that day lor... give me free day for wad? sleep in hotel ar? I'm chao pissed k.. but xt said forget about it la since they cant change. I kept asking.. how come they changed my originally city tour schedule to 27th when it was already decided on 25th. They said cause the tour is not available on 25th. Please la, if it is not available, DONT OFFER to your customers. PLEASE...PLEASE DO NOT EVER BOOK ANY OTHER TOURS WITH SUPER TRAVELS... REM, SUPER TRAVELS! :(

10. Finally get to eat dinner at 9pm. We then went to Tio Heng to sing ktv, together with mh, ros, wy and john. Quite enjoyable, actually, it is like normal la. hahahaa.

We gotta evacuate from the function room by 4pm.. spoilsport. Ya so tt marks the end of the party. I'm pretty satisfied with this party as i think it served the objective to a great extent. Objective = to bond. Hee.

Went Orchard with Si'en to take a look at the Gucci stuff at DFS. Beeling said there's 30%. Only selected items... nothing caught my eye. Hengg!

Met Xiaoting for dinner after tt. Went Paragon's Bakerzin to eat. Eh is it spelt this way? Alright.. i made a fool of myself! While placing order, i asked the waiter if the spaghetti is really spicy or not. GXT assured me that it is ok de so i decided to order. Then that GXT told the waiter that he can give me 5 cups of water at one go! Then he laughed. NVM.

I tried a mouthful n finised a cup of water. The waiter saw... and hence came w a jug of water, wanting to refill my glass. And tt GXT suggested that he can leave tt whole jar there! Guess what? He really did. MALU SIA.

Subsequently i tried not to drink so much but the spicy level has crossed my tolerance limit... and i finished that jug of water as well. Eh ok it is not a full jug, ard half jug la. While eating, i noticed that the waiter kept peeping at our table, or rather, the water level. Super paiseh can?

I swear i will never order that dish again. Though the pork sausage is tasty. Last but not least... when we called for bill, the waiter commented "Hmm so it is really one jug ar?" P A I S E H H H H H H H H H H

I felt bloated after that. I guess it's normal bah. hahahahaa

I gotta admit i'm old. I ming ming jiu got many things to blog about yday but i cant rem now!

Anyway, i was seriously lack of sleep yday.. only slept for like 3hours before reporting to work? As i reached tan tock seng early, i decided not to enter the carpark first in order to save that dollar.. so i parked my car by the roadside [not those main roads of course!] and decided to take a rest. Luckily, i know myself too well and decided to set hp alarm, in case. True enough, i fell asleep... for like 20 minutes or so! The alarm really saved me from dying of carbon monoxide!!!

Took the blood test as usual. The more times i enter that room, the more scared i get. I hate the blood test... And also AS USUAL i gotta wait for like 1.5hrs even though i have already made an appt with my doc. Sometimes i find it quite lugi... travel so far, wait so long... and i only get to talk to my doc for less than 10minutes!

Kay, doc repeats the same thing every 6 weeks, except that she referred me to another dept to see the doctor regarding my broken toe nail. She mentioned that the injury may affect my RA, hence better have it cured asap.

And so i waited another round.. till 5.15pm to see the next doc. And the doc wants me to make another appt to have my nail trimmed. Wow the thought of it makes me shiver! I'm really quite scared to go for the trimming! I hope they wont pull my nail out!

I'm glad that i need not pay any cash for the time being.... the saying "only rich people can afford to fall sick" is quite true. My consultation with the 2nd doc is already like $79!

Oh you know, i'm SO proud of myself. I managed to stop myself from walking over to Novena Sq to shop! I guess i have saved like $100 odd? During my waiting time there, i went to the bookshop and i only bought a SHAPE magazine and a book!

Hahaha i bought them cause they show simple workouts that can be done at home. Why leh? Cause i think ppl r telling me im getting fatter! Sally commented on my facebook photo and said tt i looked much slimmer then. And plus my dad la... u know u know... tt previous entry lor. :( So ya, it's time to get fit!

One last thing before i end my long boring entry. I really hate that guy over that the medicine collection counter. This is my third encounter with him and i really cant stand his attitude. Last time, he couldnt comprehend the instruction which the doc has keyed into the system. But I understand! So when he was facing difficulty explaining to me when to eat what and the dosage etc, i explained to him. And he simply refuse to believe me. Eh hello, im the patient leh.. i got ears to listen to the doc de k. Then his colleague explained to him in front of me... i said "ya she is correct".. and he finally believed. Then he still wanna try to explain to me. Well, dont he know i was there when his colleague explained to him?! I hate people who waste time like tt! Then i stopped him.. i just said "okok i totally understand. u dont need explain."

Then this time round... i was in a greeaaaat hurry. So i told him, "if you dont mind, can you help me get my medicine ready asap, im in a hurry. Thanks." He simply refused to look at me or reply me! Just snatched my card... pass it to the lab people. Cant he just convey my message to the lab people? I dont think they are busy lor.. i see more than 3 of them sitting down, chit chatting and laughing! And there i m... waiting like a fool. Then when my med is ready, he also wont ask the other nurse [who is one of those who are chit chatting] to serve me first.. super irritated! Till i called that nurse to ask if i can take my med. Then he diao-ed me. WAHHHHH i really really dont wish to see him again. Ya of course he got that super irritating look and expression.

Ok shan't say too much le. too long liao. Shall blog about today another day. hahaa

And guess one bad thing about having a blog?

Another day has passed. It's getting closer to the end of 2008, which means school is going to reopen soon... .... ... ... .. .

I enjoyed my sleep as usual, woke up at 2 plus pm and went to fetch Marie at 4pm. We headed to Bugis to shop for a while, before meeting the gang at 7pm for steamboat dinner!

Alright, the gang today is bigger than usual. Other than us, we have.. Eugene, Melissa, Si'en, Beeling and Jacq. Barry and Pam agreed to join us but got the date mixed up! hahaa

We went to this shop called Xian De Lai Shanghai Steamboat Restaurant at the.. Liang Seah street? Ya i think so. Cost $23 per pax, 2 soup based. Well, the food variety and taste are all average. My criteria is quite simple though.. as long as they serve golden mushroom, gina is happy!

We suit the job, cause we are indeed talkative people, talk n talk non-stop. Time flies fast and i dont have any idea how long we ate there. Anyway we went over to the opposite dessert shop to have our desserts. Not much choice actually. I was interested in the double boiled hasma or something de.. but it costs a bomb. And the bomb costs $14.38. So i decided to disappoint my ever-growing stomach.

Hmm i just realised that my blog is forever about food and shopping. :>

Ya and we talked and talked and talked for the 2nd round as well. Oh jiejie is soooooooo knowledgeable. She knows everything about facial products. You name it, she elaborates it. hahahaa. I've learnt many many new things.

In case i forget them the next week, i must well jot it down here!

1. Collagen molecules can never penetrate through the skin. So collagen masks are rubbish products. Not useful at all. They only moisturize.

2. Always apply your moisturizer within half an hour after you wash your face.

3. Hydrating means moisturize from within. Moisturize means to moisturize only the surface.

4. Using toners is not an essential step, it is optional. In fact in japan, some believe in applying moisturizer before toner.

5. PhysioGel is a good brand for moisturizer. You can get it from pharmacies.

6. Laneige Water Bank Mask is a powerful mask. It is a must-buy product!

7. Any product with Hyaluronic Acid should be useful in hydrating your skin.

8. Spray lotsa Avene thermal water onto your skin whenever you feel hot under the sun.

Oh and jiejie is so funny when she is talking about what to wear in Tokyo. She said Jeans is a no-no. Shit leh.. i wore jeans last yr, so ashamed of myself. Jie jie mentioned that... it is very easy to dress up there. Just anyhow mix and match.. layer here and there. In the end, you will still look fashionable. hahahaa. Well i guess it applies to the girls over there bah. They look so stylo in everything, even when even they match blue shorts to yellow socks etc. hahahaa

Whatever it is... the next time i go tokyo, i shall adopt the anyhow-match tactic. Hee. Oh Marie is flying there tml, and after hearing wad jiejie said, she decided to go home and repack her luggage. Super funny! hahaha hope she will enjoy her trip! Im not gg to see her for a long long period of time cause i would have flew to Aust when she is back in Singapore. So i guess the next time i see her will be on 30th Dec! Gosh im going to miss her so much! hahahahaa :)

Eh.... THIGH leh. I din know an arm can be bigger than a thigh lor. Chicken thigh ar hahaaha. I must start exercising. hahahaa. no wonder my sleeves are all tighter now. But still, my arm definitely not bigger than dad's thigh lor.

Project Tee -2-

Project Tee -2- officially started at around 10.15pm. Our task was to self design 2 tee shirts! One for me, one for Gillian.

I decided on a Crown design, which was found on another on my tee. And Gillian decided on a stylo musical note graphic which she found on the Net.

I dont understand why, but i ended up sketching Gillian's design for her. Actually she should do it on her own cause she is a much much better artist! Hahaha... As my design is qte complicated, Weeleng is here to sketch it for me.

And this is her sketch! A simplified version.


Nice right?? Well i must said her $500 was well spent. She has definitely benefit a lot from the course she attended! So ya, wl, when can u sketch me a better 'Joanne' ?? Hahahaa

So we moved on to applying the fabric paint onto the fabric. It is a tedious and dangerous job. Xiao Pink gave way and decided to splash as and when it likes. I hate her. Xiao Red is much better. She is strong and determined... and yah, she perserved till the end. Xiao Blue is steady and calm. hahahaa

For mine... we added Studs to it! Cool.
