Day 3 – 011207
We had breakfast in the hotel. Cant rem hw come we did not take any pic of our bfast. Anyway I think the buffet spread was quite standard – the usual scramble egg, hot dog, bacon etc etc. The more special ones are their siew mai [which is totally off-white in colour] and the minced meat which is supposed to go with their congee. I usually would love their scramble egg but this time round, I think their congee is the best. It is sticky yet a little soft.. got addictive effect. And it really goes well with the minced meat which I find it rather low class initially hahaha.
Nara Deer Park
I weren’t really excited about the itinerary for the day as it involves much traveling. Our first stop is the famous Todaji Temple which is situated within the serenity of Nara Deer Park. Well the park was featured to contain thousands of deer but I barely see 2 hundred? Ok la perhaps cause we did not really “enter” the park? The deer weren’t up to my expectations… Anyway I tried to take pic with the deers. While I was squatting down and posing… another deer walked towards me from the back and it came real near to me. And ya, as usual I screamed! Paiseh lor :<

Todaji Temple
Really big. We were taught to clap twice before we enter the temple, eh this is to inform the Buddha of our arrival? I don’t know if this is true or not la haha. And we were taught not to turn our bodies once we finished praying… instead we shd bow and move back 5 little steps before turning our bodies! And I forgot to do so.
I enjoyed looking at the stuff they sell there. Bought this little fan with Geisha printings on it, intending to give it to my grandma but don’t know if she will want it or not. Bought this little charm for myself, hope it works! Oh I played this fortune thingy, give the uncle 100 yen and I will get a chance to sort of like draw lots while making a wish. Hey my lot is quite good… cannot tell you what I wished for but lets hope it comes true asap!

Had buffet for lunch.. the food is not bad de la. But nothing fantastic.

Then we had another long journey. I slept most of the time I guess. You know, I used to be able to sleep as well as I had my earphones in my ears, but it aint this way now. All thanks to our tour guide… he’s Mr History hahaha so whenever he starts his history, somehow Im able to fall aslp hahahaha. I don’t understand lor.. he can always link japan to china history de leh haiyo.
Oh, in the middle of nowhere.. a geisha boarded our bus! And accompanied us to Kiyomizu temple. [I think this is considered Kyoto le] hahaha she walked with us up to some high places and stood there to allow us to take pic w her! Hahahaa so tt’s one of the highlights of the package? I must say she is photogenic la cos we all look ugly beside her haha. And guess what? She has an assistant with her de lor!

As for this temple… It is built on top of 139 pillars [see I got listen to the tour guide de k!] and there’s tons of ppl everyday there, trying to get the holy water [smthg like tt de]. The scenary there is fantastic, esp the maple trees. We were allowed to wander ard and walk down the slope of shops … had a busy time searching for the biscuit I want but in vain. Bought some of their local products instead! Wanted to buy this jap umbrella for grandma but it seems too small lor. I wonder if there’s still ppl using that!

Nagoya
Alright THEN again another long journey :< I dislike sitting in that cramped bus. We went to Nagoya underground shopping area. The place is like our Citylink… even longer but wahlau eh.. the tour guide onli gave us barely 20 min I think. We couldn’t shop far.
Then headed to Nagoya Castle, which was already closed for the day. We only alighted to go toilet lor hahahaa. And our next stop is the beautiful Italian Village.. the Christmas season is in the air over there, u could see santa figurines all over the place. I bought an adidas “respect me” series shorts there for like onli S$27. Worth it right?! It better not be pirated goods! Hahaha and I bought some cookies, no choice, have to trial n error to see if that cookies is what im looking for! Haha

Oh did I mention that the bread in Japan are all very fantastic? My tour leader explained that it is all bcoz of the milk they use! No wonder anything with custard tastes heavenly there!
Ok so finally we headed for dinner… it’s something like Seoul Garden, except that it is not soo meat-ish. I like the grilled squid, very nice. But I did not enjoy the dinner to the fullest, cos we were arranged to sit with this honeymoon couple. So weird. And they don’t talk. So I also don’t dare to fool ard. Wasted. If not I think we would have enjoyed more.

Sunroute Plaza Nagoya
Headed to the above mentioned hotel. It looks more like a hostel in a deserted place. The roads were dark and I really salute the driver. I wont say the hotel is low class la.. still got some special features. What I like most abt tt hotel is the small little balcony. When I walked out of the room to the balcony.. I could see the moon right in front of me, stars all above in the sky and the dark sea or lake whatever u call it in front, with a few little ships. The feeling is very good and relaxing, except that the wind is making me shiver!
Look at the toilet.. doesn’t it resemble those in the cabin? Hahaa
