Heading for Japan! - 291107

Though excited, both of us were a little tired even before boarding the plane! We hardly shop around at the duty free area, spent most of our time at BK eating. Why eat? Coz wl kept thinking that the meal onboard is going to be stewed mutton in red wine or smthg like tt. Hahahaha tt sounds disgusting right? Well, finally board the plane. It’s not bad la, at least I have sufficient space for my legs. I really hate seats with little leg space, so uncomfortable. We planned to eat their supper and start our beauty sleep but the plan failed. Cause throughout the journey, they kept serving us food. First were the smelly buns which we changed for some weird cakes. Second was a round of drinks. Third was a packet of tidbits.. Just nuts inside. Not bad la. Next was the main course. Well, we were pretty full even before the meal came! Anyway, ya the meal sucks. The egg was quite hard and tasteless. And the sight of the mushrooms turned me off. So in conclusion, the most tasty thing onboard is the drinks. I drank their in-house drink – skytime. Very refreshing. Wl drank tons of their green tea.. Also very nice.

We couldn’t sleep well in the plane but glad that we survived through it! Finally reached japan! Took a glance at our tour mates… wow ALL KIDS. Seems like a nursery tour group u know.. youngest being 2.5yrs only. Wad a fortunate girl but she aint gg to rem anything abt the trip lor! Wasted. We immediately headed towards the vending machine… wow much more visually pleasant than spore’s. Anyway that green tea is so bitter. Pls don’t buy it. The apple juice still not bad, slightly on the sweeter side though.





Osaka Castle…

Boarded the bus.. I must say, the seats are quite squeezy. Cant imagine we gotta squeeze in tt space for like 6days! It was still very early so no shopping! Hahaha headed towards Osaka Castle. But we din get to enter the castle lor, felt a bit cheated. We have fun looking at the different colour trees… smthg tt we wld nv c in spore! I love the red trees… sui!

Look at this time capsule.. not very pretty or amazing but it is really meaningful. If I din catch the tour guide wrongly, the Japanese actually buried many many traditional daily necessities underneath this capsule. They also include things like microfilm, video, cosmetics etc etc. This is because they feel that humans may meet the Doom’s Day in 5000 years’ time and everything will go back to the primitive age. When the time comes, the human then can bomb the capsule and they are able to use the buried stuff to help them in the development of life. Interesting right? Japanese really think far!

Our group then split into two groups – one to universal studios and the other to kobe city tour. Ours was the latter. So we headed towards kobe harbourland [I supposed?] and had our free time. We had our lunch at Mos Burger. Hmm I wouldn’t say they have more variety of food than Spore.. but the shop definitely looks more high class… it still has a separate room as smoking area. Imagine a smoking area in the air-conditioned shopping centre.. cool right?!







The shops there sell expensive stuff so ya, we headed to the supermarkets [there were two!] and bought some snacks. Guess we were too gan jiong about buying snacks? Hahaa

Went to their Chinatown… nothing fantastic. In fact we din really walk through Chinatown coz we chionged towards the other shopping centre to look for burberry blue label. Wl bought a namecard holder. The salesman was quite charming I must say! Hahaha good complexion and very stylo. They have very good service.. good till maybe we cant stand it if we were rushing for time! They are very xi xin de.. and hahaha they will carry the shopping bag, escort u out of the shop, THEN pass you ur stuff. Hahahaa

Back to universal studios to pick up the other half.. and guess wad? We had some time to shop outside the entrance but bought nothing. Wl is so addicted to Mos Burger that she went to buy another drink there! 2 times in a day! Haiyo. I went to Hard Rock Café in the mean time. Wanted to buy the classic polo but there isn’t any. Too bad.

Our very first tour meal is the sushi buffet! The tour guide said there’s this hongkong lady who finished 30 odd plates of sushi by her own! The 2 of us barely finished 20 odd! Hahaha..



Hmm actually im not too sure where we were.. Shinsaibashi?? It’s a very very long stretch of shopping street. Spent our time searching for burberry again but did not see any nice designs. Rather upset then I must admit. Shopped for other stuff.. Eh I cant rem if we bought anything. Pretty sure that I bought some food again la. Haha.

Ya, so these are my purchasal for Day 1.


Hotel… Hyatt Regency Osaka

Look at our hotel for the first night…. This’s our best hotel throughout the trip le. Hahaha. Except the pillows are too thin, I cant find any other faults with the room. The toilet is very nice.. and I like the toilet – so many functions hahhaa. I’ve long heard about the washing of buttocks by the toilet bowl.. finally I get to see it! Hahaha. And it can still play music and heat up the seat. Hahah COOL.





There's a K nearby .. their K is like our 7-11 la. Haha so we went there on our own after we bathed. Bought supper and ate in our room!
